God is better, right?

We know God is better.
Why do we settle for things other than Him?
It happens so often.
It's dumb.

ABIDE. Abide. abide. -----.
Much to our shame, this is what the command of Jesus looks like in our lives. A gradual decrease from Caps Lock -> blank, figuratively of course.
We've lost track of Jesus
-The only reason for being.

Lord, help us to say to our souls as David does to his in [Psalm 103:1] -

Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name.

We need to remind ourselves sometimes to do what we know we should be doing.
God, please give us the grace to do it.

Lethargy.

Lord, please help me during this time of lethargy. I'm feeling physically and mentally drained by 10am. What's up with that? I'm running to You seeking strength and refuge. Empower me from on high with the same power that brought Jesus back from the dead. My spirit is willing, but my flesh is weak. Lord, overcome my physical weakness and cause me to run this race with perseverance. For Your glory. Thank You.

Holy Spirit

please have Your way in me.

Less of me and more of You, God. Rid me of myself, chunk after chunk, day after day.
Fill me with You.
